Naomi has worked in social services for over 9 years, beginning with support work in the anti-violence sector in Vancouver. Moving to the mountains for healing, she returned to her passion for helping others by volunteering with the Howe Sound Women’s Centre and eventually coordinating a pilot project for second stage support funded by Status of Women Canada.
Naomi has won the Kathy Barnett Leadership Award and began a BA in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo. Her position as the Marketing and Community Engagement Coordinator at the WorkBC Employment Services Centre gave her valuable insight and connections into the employment and training sector. Naomi has a passion for seeking solutions that benefit the local community and loves the transformative magic that happens when creative and socially minded people put their heads together. Her nonprofessional aspirations include climbing mountains and owning a dog.
